About the airport
Sheremetyevo Airport is the largest airport in Russia by passenger traffic. It is an international airport, one of the 20 largest airports in Europe. The airport was opened in 1959. Sheremetyevo Airport is located 30 kilometers away from the center of Moscow and 10 kilometers from the Moscow belt road between two towns: Lobnya and Khimki. You can get to the airport by taxi or bus from the Planernaya Metro Station. One can also take a taxi from Moscow. Considering Moscow traffic, the best way to get to the airport from Moscow is aeroexpress train. It departs from the Belorussky Railway Station. The first train leaves at 5:30 a.m., and the last one – at 1:00 a.m. The train goes non-stop, travelling time is about 35 minutes. There is a free Wi-Fi network on the train.
