On January 11, 2017 there was published a No.
8 Decree of the President of Belarus “On the introduction of the visa-free entry and departure for foreign citizens”.
The decree came into force in a month on February 12, 2017.
For the visa-free entry to Belarus foreign citizens will need a valid passport or other document for foreign travels and a medical
insurance in the amount of at least 10 000 Euro.
Besides, foreign citizens must arrive through the Minsk National Airport and stay in Belarus for up to 5 days.
Foreign visitors from the following countries can have a visa-free entry: Australia, Austria, Albania, Andorra,
Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Barbados, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Vanuatu,
Vatican City, United Kingdom, Vietnam, Haiti, Germany, Hong Kong, Greece, Denmark, Dominica, India, Indonesia,
Iceland, Spain, Italy, Canada, Cyprus, China, Korea, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg,
Macao, Macedonia, Malaysia, Malta, Malthusian Order, Mexico, Micronesia, Monaco, Namibia, Netherlands, Nicaragua,
New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, Saudi Arabia,
Seychelles, Singapore, Slovakia,
Slovenia, United States, Uruguay, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Chile, Switzerland, Sweden, Salvador, Estonia and Japan.
It should be noted that the visa-free regime is not applicable to those foreign citizens who depart to and from Russian airports.
